The MCP serves public design knowledge. No account, API key or local server download is required. Every composition remains subject to the documented experimental limits.
Connect the MCP
https://martletdesign.dev/mcpRead-only tools: get_manifest, search_guidance and get_reference. The server also exposes exact resources, source commits and content hashes. It has no access to the workbench database, drafts or write operations.
Existing connections
The canonical endpoint is now https://martletdesign.dev/mcp. Existing clients at https://martlettheme.dev/mcp continue to work.
ChatGPT
Open Plugins, select the plus button and Add custom MCP server. Enter this endpoint, choose No authentication, review the connection, create the plugin and install it. Select it with @ in a new conversation. Account and workspace permissions apply.
Claude
Open Customize → Connectors, add a custom Web connector and paste the endpoint. Choose No sign in, then enable the connector for the conversation. Team and Enterprise owners may need to add it first.

Call get_manifest and confirm family=martlet. Retrieve builder-skill and grammar with get_reference. Search for the task, retrieve complete patterns and actual component contracts, then build and verify the whole interaction. The method is available through MCP without downloading a skill. MCP itself does not install persistent skills.

Install exact versions deliberately. The existing latest tags remain unchanged. Canonical guidance snapshots retain their original review-time status; this table records release availability separately.
Evidence and limits
SDK checks cover modern and legacy HTTP negotiation, tools and resources, source hashes, family isolation, invalid input and unavailable references. Actual installation inside a particular ChatGPT or Claude account is a separate check. Manual assistive-technology review, RTL, compact density and sustained consumer use remain open.
